GOAAAALLL! Beginning Oct. 13, American Airlines gives AAdvantage members exclusive opportunity to score FIFA World Cup 26 match tickets
American Airlines Launches Exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Access for AAdvantage Members
Loyalty program members gain early access to history’s largest World Cup through miles redemption starting October 13

FORT WORTH, Texas — October 9, 2025 — American Airlines today announced an exclusive ticket access program that positions AAdvantage members at the front of the line for FIFA World Cup 2026 matches. Beginning October 13, loyalty program members can redeem miles for tickets to all matches in what will be the largest and most expansive World Cup in tournament history.
The groundbreaking program leverages American’s position as the Official North American Airline Supplier of FIFA World Cup 2026, offering members unprecedented access to the 48-team tournament spanning 16 host cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This marks the first time a major U.S. airline has provided such direct ticket access through a loyalty program for the world’s most-watched sporting event.
“We’re creating an entirely new way for our most valued customers to experience the World Cup,” said Scott Long, Senior Vice President of AAdvantage at American Airlines. “This exclusive access program represents the kind of meaningful value we deliver to AAdvantage members, and it’s particularly special as we celebrate American’s centennial year alongside this historic tournament.”
The tiered access program launches with American’s highest-tier members receiving first priority. AAdvantage Executive Platinum and ConciergeKey members can begin redeeming miles on October 13, followed by Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Pro members on October 14. All AAdvantage members gain access on October 15, well ahead of general public sales.
American’s partnership with FIFA, established in April 2025, positions the airline as the exclusive North American carrier partner alongside Qatar Airways, the tournament’s global airline partner. The collaboration ensures American can offer unmatched connectivity to the tournament, with the airline operating over 6,500 daily flights during peak season, including direct service to all 16 host cities.
The World Cup 2026 will feature 104 matches across North America, representing a 60% increase from previous tournaments. The expanded format brings professional soccer’s pinnacle event closer to more fans than ever before, with matches scheduled in major metropolitan areas from Vancouver to Mexico City.
Beyond ticket access, American is expanding opportunities for members to engage with the tournament. The airline launched a daily sweepstakes at aa.com/fwc26perks, giving U.S. residents aged 18 and older chances to win final match tickets. Members can also accelerate their path to higher status levels through strategic mile earning and purchasing, with current promotions offering up to 40% savings on mile purchases.
The program reflects American’s broader strategy of delivering exclusive experiences that extend beyond traditional travel benefits. As the airline approaches its 100th anniversary in 2026, the World Cup partnership represents one of the most significant loyalty program enhancements in the company’s history.
American’s extensive North American network provides natural advantages for World Cup travelers. The airline serves more destinations than any other U.S. carrier, with particular strength in the tournament’s host markets. During the tournament period, American will operate additional capacity to accommodate increased demand across the host city network.
For soccer fans not yet enrolled in AAdvantage, membership remains free and can be completed at aa.com/aadvantage. New members immediately gain access to the October 15 ticket redemption window, along with American’s full range of loyalty benefits and partner earning opportunities.
